Twitterpated

The vernal equinox (this term should really have it's own entry) is upon us. That's right folks. Spring is here and in the wise words of the owl from Bambi: Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the springtime.

For example: You're walking along, minding your own business. You're looking neither to the left, nor to the right, when all of a sudden you run smack into a pretty face. Woo-woo! You begin to get weak in the knees. Your head's in a whirl. And then you feel light as a feather, and before you know it, you're walking on air. And then you know what? You're knocked for a loop, and you completely lose your head!

Specious

Apologies to our legions of readers... there's no photo for this word. All you really need to do is focus on an image of me at age 13, bent over a dictionary with my speech therapist, saying this word over and over without a lisp.. thpethious. spethious. speeethusss. Mom and Dad were right.. I am finally happy to say the work paid off. Specious has a thpecial place for me, for having gone from a very bad word to what I'd consider one of true exthellence.

bubble

Pretty good word. Doesn't need much explanation. Used in a plethora of metaphors. Always gets overused this time of the year thanks to the Joe Lunardi types and the increasing popularity of Bracketology, office pools and Internet gambling. Figured it was an easy way to get the blog back going again, ya know, before its bubble burst. Brutal.
